Is the world ever going to be equal? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make things more equitable for women, minorities or any group or person that has experienced unequal or unfair treatment, chances or policies in the past. So what is equity?

Creative vision: Equality isn’t equal, #Equityis

Our vision began with a simple visual idea to show that equality isn’t equal. Our global International Women’s Day campaign #Equityis for Unilever expanded upon this visual metaphor into a manifesto explaining why we need more empathy and equity-based workplaces, policies and allies to support people who have been disadvantaged or who simply put health or family first.

Our campaign became the launchpad Unilever used to debut new programs, policies and opportunities, kicked off thought-leadership talks about equity and became a multi-year values campaign for Unilever during Pride and International Day for persons with disabilities.

Equality isn’t equal.
